I recently received a copy of MODx Web Development from Packt Publishing to read and review here on DEVTRENCH. The book came a few days ago in the mail and I’m about 2 and half chapters in. So far, I’m pretty impressed at how detailed the book is, and think it would be a pretty good reference for someone starting out with MODx. Let’s face it, the documentation on the MODx site is kinda weak. So after learning from that, the wiki, and forums, it just came down to a lot of trial and error. If this book can help me to train clients, new employees, and teach me a thing or too, then I think that would be pretty awesome. I should be finished reading the book in about a week so check back for a full review of the book. In the mean time, you can purchase the book from Packt’s website if you would like a copy.
